Pretty Pink

I love working with beads. Recently listed at my etsy store is this pretty pink beaded bookmark. Add some bling to your books! It would also make a lovely gift for teachers, students, friends, mothers, booklovers, readers and writers etc. The novel I wrote is also below.

This novel was published in 2012 well before the 2016 fire which razed the historic town of Yarloop where my novel is set. Coincidentally or not, my novel also has fire themes. 

Purple Haze

I may have already mentioned that purple is my favourite colour.

Fluorite is a stone of mental order and clarity. It is used to enhance mental clarity and reduce instability and disorder. This brings a wiser, more balanced view of life and improves decision making,. These traits enable one to manifest ideas and bring plans to fruition.

Fluorite is a great stone to calm and relieve anxiety, tension, and stress by detoxifying the emotional body.

Fluorite is related primarily to the Heart and Higher Heart (Thymus) chakras. It also relates to Third Eye chakra balance. The Archangel related to this stone is Chamuel. It is also related to the Fire Element and the Wind Element.

Recycle!

I've recently been accepted to sell my items at a local business. The business promotes organic, recycling, minimal waste etc so I was keen to keep to the ethos of the store. The items I craft are made using as many recycled beads and jewellery items as possible. I also went a little further and picked up these two sparkly vases (not glass) from a local Op shop and turned them into product stands by adding removable hooks. I also added a natural river stone in each one so they don't tip over.  I think they look great. 

We can still have pretty things if we use recycled :)

Quirky Style

I've been having fun creating some quirky items. This is a small moon sun-catcher ornament I made from the rattan moon shape on the left in the first picture.

I used recycled wool, recycled beads + recycled fabric and woollen flowers. Some beads were sewn on, others were glued on. The butterfly embellishment was from my ever increasing stash. I had fun and learned a few things along the way, mainly, what I'd do differently next time :)

2018 Trends

Hi all, 

   

Violet/Purple is the colour of the year!  It just so happens that purple is my favourite colour :)

My teenage room was decorated in purple as is my current bedroom (many years later). Only now, I’ve added some green.

They do say creative and spiritual people love the colour purple.  I think they’re right.
